Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, the leading stars of the highly anticipated film Adipurush, evoke longing and passion in their latest music video titled “Ram Siya Ram.” Released by T-Series on Monday, this VFX-heavy rendition of the popular devotional song showcases the emotions of the protagonists following Janaki’s abduction by the antagonist, Lankesh.
Within two hours of its release, the song, sung by Sachet Tandon and Parampara Tandon, garnered a staggering 1.7 million views on YouTube. Sachet and Parampara have also composed the music for “Ram Siya Ram,” while the evocative lyrics have been penned by Manoj Muntashir Shukla.
The two-minute-50-second-long video captivates viewers with glimpses of Prabhas and Kriti amidst a serene backdrop of peacocks and a tranquil boat ride. The storyline portrays a heartbroken Raghava preparing to rescue his beloved Janaki and seeking assistance from his devotee, Bajrang. “Ram Siya Ram” primarily conveys the couple’s anguish as Janaki patiently awaits Raghava’s heroic rescue from Lanka’s Ashok Vatika.
Expressing their enthusiasm, both Prabhas and Kriti Sanon shared the music video on their Instagram profiles, captioning it as “The soul of Adipurush Ram Siya Ram.”
Helmed by acclaimed director Om Raut, known for his work in the film Tanhaji, Adipurush also features the talents of Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh, and Devdatta Nage. With an astronomical budget of Rs 700 crore, the film claims the title of the most expensive Indian production to date. Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar for T-Series, and Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair for Retrophiles, this action-packed adventure is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana.
Anticipation is mounting as Adipurush is scheduled to hit theaters on June 16, promising an immersive cinematic experience for audiences across the country.
