Encounter with militants in Anantnag, one soldier martyred

Srinagar(18 June 2019): A soldier was martyred in an encounter with militants in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. A police officer gave this information. On the basis of intelligence information about the presence of militants in the Bijbahara area of South Kashmir, Security forces started a siege and search operation this morning.

The official said that militants fired on security forces. The encounter started with counter-action. He told that a young man was injured in the encounter and later on he died in a hospital. The encounter is still continuing until the latest reports.

It is noteworthy that on Monday, one Major Army officer was killed in the encounter with the terrorists in Achhal area and another officer and two soldiers were injured. A terrorist was also killed.

The terrorists also target an army gasoline pump through a vehicle carrying IED (Improvised Explosive Device) in Pulwama district on Monday. Nine Jawans and two civilians were injured in that blast. they have been admitted to a hospital.

This explosion occurred near the place of the suicide attack of Jaish-e-Mohammed which occurred in February on the convoy of CRPF in Pulwama district. In it, 40 soldiers were killed.

Pakistan continues to sponsor terrorist groups that launched deadly attacks in India. Pakistan has faced criticism for not doing more to prevent groups that operate on its soil from launching attacks abroad.

India raised the issue of the Pulwama terror attack with several countries, including the U.S., Germany and Russia and told them to declare Jaish-a-Mohammad a Terrorist, but China didn’t give approval for it which seems that they are supporting the terror activities in Pakistan.
